A smart, Solid, Readable, Beautiful, Understandable Translation

I have not scan this edition, however I own it and commit to this summer. Why am I reviewing it now? as a result of, well, no one else has.
I've scan the Consolation before, in many versions (Watts, James, Green), and this can be the sole one that I've seen that incorporates a good introduction by Seth Lerer, a requirement for readers unfamiliar with the text, with Boethius as a person, and with the time he lived in. Also, a brief bibliography is given, that is often helpful.
Additionally, for $15, this can be a hardback. Hardback beats softcover any day of the week. The dirt jacket has magnificent style by Tim Jones, showing nearly the book being uncovered, revealed, out of the darkness of time--and as one thing precious and private, one thing that was once usually carried around for comfort and solace.
This edition mimics that. The pages are a pleasant ivory--not the tough white of alternative editions, during a smart readable serif font. The book is tiny and dignified, and also the font is massive enough to scan simply and tiny enough to not be cloying.
Finally, on the text--and once more, I even have finished reading this translation--the poetic sections of Boethius's work are translated _into poetry_. The poems don't seem to be translated into rhyming couplets, as another translators have done, however have an honest cadence of assonance and alliteration.
UPDATE:
I have currently scan this version, and teach out of it. Since my initial review, I've additionally seen the Oxford Walsh translation, however it sounds a bit stuffy for my tastes, and oddly uses verse-style numbering within the prose passages. apart from these problems, the standard of the paper and also the book appears quite insufficient--pulpy and floppy, particularly compared to the firm crispness of this edition. Of course, that translation is out there on the Kindle, therefore if you are looking for a contemporary translation you'll use digitally, that is your best bet.
